Preparing for a Guest Interview

Thank you for agreeing to be interviewed on The Happy Wanderers Podcast!

Below are some steps you can take to help us record the best possible session. Please let us know how we can support you in preparing!

Reflect

Reflect on personal, lived stories of growth and transformation you experienced regarding your topic. We welcome stories about others’ lives but we would love to spend a good part of the time on your life and experiences. Please remember to only share stories and information that you are comfortable with everyone knowing about.

Location

Find a quiet spot for the actual interview so we can minimize background noise. Make sure you have the best internet connection you can find so we can stay connected with ease and can capture uninterrupted sound.

Equipment

You will need a computer or laptop to connect to the interview portal. You will also need headphones that have a built-in mic (headphones to minimize echoes and mic to record your voice).

We will be recording the interview remotely but we’d like a backup as well. So, ideally your laptop or computer will have about 1GB of space available to store the recorded interview. Please let us know if this is not the case.

Timing

Though our conversation will likely be less than an hour, please keep 90 minutes free in case we run over. The conversation will be edited down to a 20-30 minute episode.

Have fun!

Don’t forget to be yourself and have fun! We are excited to host you and can’t wait to learn from your experiences. We will be editing the interview a little bit afterward so stumbles and pauses are no big deal. 🙂
